Executive search consultants (or in jargon ‘headhunters’) are hired by their clients to help them find candidates to fill a specific executive opening/position. Search (or hunting) is a search and selection technique different from recruiting. When Search happens at an executive level (C-suite), it is conducted by an executive search consultant.
Executive search consultants are, very often and wrongly, confused with career coaches. This because both professions are people-oriented ones. The difference however is that an executive search consultant’s job is not primarily that of helping candidates understand their next best career move (such as career coaches do) because their job is that of filling a vacancy with the best possible qualified candidate - quickly. Career coaches are paid by the executive candidate. Executive search consultants are paid by a company to fill a vacancy with an executive candidate.
And yet, for executives professional out there, establishing a good connection with top executive search consultants is key to maximize the probability of landing that interesting new job opportunity.
This workshop aims to do exactly this: to equip you with the right information and tools to establish the most useful and fruitful relationship with executive search consultants.
